Watching the Elk...

We have been watching Elk pretty much every day since we arrived in Wyoming two weeks ago. Every viewing is so amazing. They are never in the same place for 24 hours. These pictures were taken at sunrise yesterday before a mini snowstorm blew through.

The herd is made up of mostly moms and their kids. The big guys hang out together in some isolated undisclosed area. Well, not really. I just forgot the name of the place they hang out in the winter. It is somewhere up the mountain. But some of the male kids still have their antlers.

Two elk having a nose to nose conversation.

The sunrise made for a nice background!

This lone whitetail deer didn't seem to mind the company.

This was the biggest bull we saw.

Steve took this one with his phone. The elk came across the hill then down to the valley.

What a sight to see while drinking our morning coffee!
