Not Again...Part One

They, he, she, it came back and took off with yet another feeder. It was a brand new feeder Steve just bought me. We realized after the bear came last time, that somehow the garage mercury light had been shut off. So, we thought, turn the light back on, and the bear will back off.

Nope.

You can see the bear even tipped my citronella candle on its side.

No food there.

I put the three feeders I have left in the garage. The only thing I'm filling with sunflower seeds is that crooked tray which has now been straightened and also the hummingbird feeders. I know, I know, the bear like hummingbird feeders, too. Well, the one I have is faded and very old, so he can have it. (Don't tell him that.) But I also have a window hummingbird feeder and a window sunflower feeder. Let's hope the dogs bark before he gets that high on the window to swat them down. Last night Steve turned the outside floodlight on because the dogs were creating such a middle of the night ruckus.

Another suet feeder torn apart.

My shepherds hook has been straightened for the umteenth time and now has absolutely nothing on it. I sit at my computer and watch Chippy the chipmunk race up the pole only to find nothing at all to eat.

I know it's my own fault, but I so love feeding the birds and watching them.

Humph.

Bear = 4 feeders somewhere in the woods
Debi = 3 feeders somewhere in the garage
