The Transition...

It's hard to believe it looked like this less than a month ago.

The trails were carpeted with autumn leaves and still so many left to fall.

Our arrival at this lake scared the ducks that were enjoying the unseasonably warm temps.

Two weeks ago my fall flowers were still vibrant.

And this hanging basket was hanging in there for as long as it could.

Two weeks ago today we took the three mile round trip walk to the Grizzly Den log cabin and it tuckered out the dogs. Ike was even snoring!

We spent last week in the woods...

...loading up on wood for the winter. We've already woke to temps in the 20's.

And to this a couple of days ago. We heard it was coming!

The Pine River truck trail still looked like this yesterday.

Steve got a deer out of his deer blind this past Thursday. This picture was taken a few weeks ago. Needless to say, the gold leaves have since fallen.

.

And I've been canning venison!!
This will hit the spot this winter on a cold snowy winter evening
with a toasty fire crackling in the wood burner.

Have a great week everyone!
